Frustrating Fees

I have been in discussion with Continental Airlines regarding some luggage issues. Since last fall, Continental has begun charging $25 to check a second piece of luggage. As you can imagine, that hits us pretty hard. Each team member has two pieces of luggage to check: their personal bag and a bag filled with donated items for the orphanage. With this new additional fee our team will need to take $375 from our project budget. (12 students and 3 leaders) This money could go a long way in Nicaragua if it wasn't needed for the luggage fees. We're asking for some help with this. Continental refuses to waive the fee for us, even though they are aware of the humanitarian nature of our mission. That means that each team member needs to come up with an additional $25 to cover the fee for their second bag. Would you consider partnering with the team to help cover this fee? All it would take is 15 people willing to donate $25. If you interested in helping subsidize this luggage fee, donating has never been easier:

1. print off the following form: LUGGAGE FEE FORM and send it, along with your $25 donation to the Youth For Christ office - 1338 Ave B N, Saskatoon, SK S7L 1G5 Make out cheques to "Youth For Christ"

2. You can donate safely and easily online by visiting CANADA HELPS ONLINE DONATIONS. Simply designate your donation to Project Serve Nicaragua, and mention 'luggage fee' in the message area. You will immediately receive a receipt for tax purposes.

Thanks so much for your partnership with the Project Serve Team. God Bless!

HI Chandra- Kirk, Corwin and PS crew! I look forward to hearing from you on the blog as many friends and family will be checking in to keep up with your comings and goings- I am sure you had a tough night sleeping at the airport on route to LA- but too excited to really notice that you didn't sleep much that first night I'm sure. You are in our prayers and trust we serve a God of provisions- sometimes ahead of time, but most times as we step out in faith- we see His handiwork. HUGS!
